Certification helps boost your career and resumé, building credibility within the industry and having the expertise to jump straight into a new digital marketing job. Looking to distinguish yourself? This is it.

How to prepare for the 100-101: Facebook Certified Digital Marketing Associate Exam?

The bottom line is that…

Passing the 100-101 Facebook Advertising Core Competencies Blueprint Exams can be frustrating.

And overwhelming.

You don’t know where to start. There are over +120 courses on the Facebook Blueprint Course Catalog.

So where do you start?

I do have to clarify that this particular exam should be much easier than the other Facebook Professional Certifications.

This associate level exam should be easier to pass than the professional level exams.

If you’ve been running ads for over a year, you should not have any difficulty passing this first exam.

There are multiple ways you can prepare as it varies by your digital marketing experience but this is the method I think has worked the best for our community.

I’ve written about this before.

If you are new in digital marketing, I highly recommend you read that blog post as the majority of recommendations still apply for this exam.

Here is a step by step of how to better study and prepare for your exam:

Step #1 – Go over Facebook & Markeko’s Study Guides

Facebook has an essential guide with a list of courses that they recommend you should go over before taking the exam.

I recommend you go over the link and look at the list of courses and mark the ones you are not sure about or think might need to strengthen.

(Don’t take them yet, this will be covered in step #3 below)

Next,

download our free study guide and do the same.

Identify all the topics in our index that might need help with.

I do recommend going over the guide so that you can quickly identify topics to better prepare your plan to study for the exam.

Step #2 – Go over Facebook Questions

Go over Facebook free questions and try to answer them once.

This will help you identify areas that you need to strengthen as well.

  1. Facebook 100-101 Digital Marketing has 30 free questions you can use.
  2. We also have some free questions in this blog post
  3. And can also look for more questions in our Group’s units

These first two steps should help you identify which areas you really need to study before you take the exam.

Step #3 – Go over Facebook Blueprint Courses

Trust me.

You don’t want to go over all Facebook Blueprint courses as your first step.

You will waste a lot of time in topics that might not be relevant to the exam or foundations that you already have and know.

Going over the study guide and sample questions will really help you define your study plan and identify areas of weakness.

If you did step #1 and step #2, you should have a list of all the topics that you need to go over.

Now,

go to Facebook Blueprint courses and start taking them.
