Facebook Blueprint recently came out with new exams and certifications that require more technical knowledge on some areas!
These are the newest Facebook Blueprint Exams:
- 200-101: Facebook Certified Marketing Science Professional
- 300-101: Facebook Certified Creative Strategist Professional
- 500-101: Facebook Certified Ads Product Developer I
We’ve been getting a lot of questions on this new exam and wanted to share a video where I go over each of these new three exams.
- Learn what you need to know before you take exam
- What technical knowledge do you need to have
- Statistics, SQL and Javascript… which exam do you need to know a bit of each
200-101: Facebook Certified Marketing Science Professional
You need to have basic understanding of statistics. Make sure you research the following terms and know what they mean:
- sample
- st deviation
- coefficient
- regressions
- correlations
- and basic statistics
SQL data manipulation is also required. Know at least the basics with using tables and getting data from them (SELECT, WHERE, FROM, JOIN’s).
Make sure you go over the following video and understand the difference between causation and correlation and how they relate to Facebook Lift Tests and A/B Tests.
300-101: Facebook Certified Creative Strategist Professional
Definitely know the best practices when launching Facebook campaigns and ads.
I would summarize the following topics as important:
- Mobile marketing and changes in Facebook ads
- Best Practices
- Objectives
- Placement
- Videos best practices
- Aspect ratios for videos and images
- Text & CTA
- Policies
Make sure you focus on video, mobile first and Facebook policies.
500-101: Facebook Certified Ads Product Developer I
This will be a two part exam:
- Multiple choice exam
- Coding exercise
You definitely need to know basic Javascript knowledge before you take this exam as you will have a practice coding exercise that needs to be submitted as part of your exam.
You can check the code exercise in the following link. This is an image for a practice assessment and how the coding exercise looks like.
I would also suggest going over the following topics before taking the exam:
- Business Manager
- Facebook pixel
- Advance Matching
- Dynamic Ads and Catalog Sales
- UTM building and links
